Communion Homes and Lay Eucharistic Ministers
There is a beautiful tradition in the Anglican church that those who are unable to attend a Sunday Morning service, and therefore unable to partake from the Table, can have the same elements from Sunday morning brought to them by one of our Lay Eucharistic Ministers (LEMs) sometime during the week. The LEM leads a short liturgy, allows time to pray, and everyone receives communion together. It is a wonderful way that the Communion Table extends out to the people!
In the same way, as we are seeing more people worshiping with us from home, we want there to be a way for our congregation to receive communion whether they are watching online or with us in the sanctuary. And, as we are spread all over the Denver Metro Area, we are establishing Communion Homes in each of Wellspring’s 7 Neighborhoods, where people could come pick up communion sometime during the week and then receive together while watching the online service on Sunday.
Below is a list of Communion Homes in each of the Neighborhoods (pickup will start the week of November 15th). If the day and time of a home in your Neighborhood doesn’t work for you, you are always welcome to go to another home in another neighborhood. If you know you are going to be near the church, you could also make arrangements with me (Tara) to pick them up at the building.
