Gather - Human Knot

Christ is Risen!  The Lord is Risen Indeed!   Alleluia!

(if this game doesn’t work for your family search for a game that promotes connection and team work)

  1. Have your family stand in a circle, facing inward.

  2. Tell everyone to reach their right arm towards the center and grab someone else's hand. Make sure no one grabs the hand of the person right next to them.

  3. Next, have everyone reach their left arm in and grab someone else's hand.  Again, make sure it's not the person right next to them.

  4. Now, the fun begins! Work together to untangle the human knot without letting go of any hands. The goal is to end up in a perfect circle again. Go over or under each other's arms, or through legs if needed! Encourage your family to do whatever they want, as long as they don't break the chain in the process.

For some extra fun, turn on a timer and see how long it takes or give a time limit!

Scripture :: Please Read Aloud :: Romans 10:9

Work on the memory verse for this month:

“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved”.

Family Discipleship Questions

  1. What does it mean to declare Jesus is Lord?

  2. How do we live that out?

  3. What does it mean to believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead and we will be saved? (help kids to understand that Jesus died for our sins so we can be reconciled to the Father and receive salvation)

  4. Who do you know that has a strong walk with Jesus - and declares Him as Lord?

  5. How do you know this person has a strong walk with Him?

  6. Give an example of how a fellow believer helped connect you to Jesus in a new or deeper way.

  7. How can we connect others to Christ?

Confession

Lord, we confess that we don’t always declare you as Lord. We confess that we don’t always act like you are the Lord of our lives. Please forgive us and strengthen us to declare you as Lord and live our lives accordingly.

Corporate Confession
