Food Pantry Update
Hi Wellspring,
As we transition into our new home at 3885 South Broadway, I want to bring you up to speed on our food bank and how you can help serve our neighbors in our new location. Here are some updates:
Restructured weekly rhythm: as we move into the new building, we have decided to restructure our weekly schedule to offer the food bank only on Sundays rather than both Sundays and Wednesdays. We have surveyed the folks who utilize the food bank on Wednesdays, and the vast majority of them indicated that they would be able to utilize it on Sundays. Therefore, we plan to refocus our efforts on doing an enormous food bank operation once per week rather than a smaller operation twice per week. Our time on Sundays will remain the same: 11:30am - 1pm
Donation bins at the new building: as we anticipate an increase in our reach with the food bank due to our new location on Broadway, we continue to need your help in supporting the food bank through donations. Therefore, we will have the donation bins available at the new location on Sunday mornings and Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9am - 2pm. The bins will be located by the hospitality tent on the front lawn. We ask that you bring non-perishable food items and hygiene items on Sundays and fresh food on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Volunteer opportunities: we continue to need volunteers to help with the operations of the food bank on Sundays from 11:00am - 1:30pm. Please reach out to Mike Sandgren at mike@wellspringcolorado.com if you, your family, or your lifegroup would like to serve.
