Second Annual Trunk Or Treat!

Hello Wellspring!

We are excited to announce that our Second Annual Trunk or Treat is just around the corner! This is a fun event for the families of Wellspring and our neighbors, so invite a friend, put on your Halloween costume, and join us for games and candy!

What is a Trunk or Treat, you ask? During a trunk or treat event adults decorate the back of their cars for Halloween, load up on candy, and come sit in a parking lot for kids to “trick or treat” from car-to-car. In Wellspring’s Trunk or Treat, each car has a fun game kids can play to win candy. It’s so much fun, trust me!!

Our desire is to provide a fun space for our children and families to gather with each other to do some “trunk or treating”, be able to wear their costumes, and play games. We also want it to be an outreach to our surrounding community, so we can get to know our neighbors!

Trunk or Treat will be on Saturday, October 30th, from 3-5pm in Wellspring’s parking lot - 3885 S Broadway.

Our plan is to have 25 trunks for the kids to visit. We would love to see different people "host" the trunks, and give them different themes. For example, maybe you have a pirate themed trunk, where you dress up as a pirate and put a 2x4 plank in front of your car and make the kids walk the plank to get the candy. We plan on having a contest where the kids can vote on their favorite trunk and the winner gets a prize! There will also be different activities, including a cake walk, pumpkin painting, and a photo booth.

We would love for everyone to be involved with this event. Here’s how you can help:

  1. Sign up for the event here!

  2. Next time you are grocery shopping, buy an extra bag of candy to donate! We will be collecting candy on Sunday mornings, the same way we collect donations for the food bank.

  3. Be a trunk host! We have slots for 25 people, and it is a first come, first serve deal. If you are interested in hosting a trunk, please email Tara Malouf (tara@wellspringenglewood.com) or fill out this form.

  4. Invite your friends! Do you know families with kids who would enjoy dressing up, playing some games, and getting candy? Bring them!

We are so excited to do this event again and we hope to see all of you there! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
