Catechism :: Spring 2022
Hello Friends!!
The most frequently asked questions I get during connecting meetings with all of you are: How can I get more involved? How do I find “my people”? What opportunities are there for us to grow deeper at Wellspring? Is there a Formation Lab or life group that I can get plugged into? And I am so glad to tell you that the answer is “YES”!!
We are so excited to be offering Catechism again beginning in January! This class is one of the primary ways we offer people an opportunity to learn more about our Anglican tradition and dive deep into the main tenets of the Christian faith. We will cover the topics of Anglican History, the Gospel, the Sacraments, the Apostles’ Creed, the Ten Commandments, the Lord’s Prayer, and God’s calling and mission in our lives. We also will be bringing in a variety of teachers, including pastors from Wellspring and other teachers, including from Denver Seminary. And at the end of the class we will have a special Confirmation service hosted by Bishop Ken Ross! We would love for you to join us for this time of learning and connecting!
This class will run for 15 weeks, starting January 10th, and will end in the first week of May. We will be meeting every Monday (excluding February 7th) at Wellspring from 6:30-8:15pm to share desserts, coffee, and dig into the Anglican Catechism. This year we are only offering an in-person option because part of the class will be connecting with others, practicing some spiritual disciplines together, and conversation around tables.
If you have never been through Catechism, I would encourage you to join! You can register here. If you have additional questions, please feel free to email me at tara@wellspringenglewood.com.
Also, for those of you who have already been through Catechism and would still like a Formation Lab to participate in: Keep your eyes open for the Formation Labs we are going to offer during Lent. More information about those will come out in the new year!
Peace,
Tara Malouf
