The Kingdom of God

If you’ve been joining us through this first week of Lent you know that we will be working our way through The Beatitudes in Matthew 5. Just before I learned that this would be our focus for the Lenten season I came across a song that was directly inspired by the same passage—it’s called “The Kingdom of God” by Jon Guerra. We introduced this song on Ash Wednesday and you will likely hear it a few more times as we journey through Lent together. This song beautifully encapsulates the heart of the Beatitudes, and I share it with you in the hopes that it will draw you deeper into communion with God in the weeks to come.
