Lenten Formation Labs
We know that some of us love opportunities to learn more about our faith, our church and one another, so this last year we launched what we are calling Formation Labs. These are short term classes where we can grow in our discipleship with Jesus and each other.
This Lenten Season we will have a handful of Formation Labs available. They will all be 5 weeks long and begin the week of March 6th. All the good details are below!!
A Prayer in the Night - led by Emily Kosirog
Wednesdays from 7:15-9pm
At the Kosirog Home (you’ll will get an email with the address when you sign up)
For whom: Anyone
Description: Life is hard. And sometimes we don’t know how to pray. Or what to pray. Or what to believe. Or how to believe. The Anglican prayers of compline remind us that there is One who holds all things together, even as we don’t. There may not be answers to our pain, but God is still good. This formation lab will read “Prayer in the Night” by Anglican Priest Tish Harrison Warren and work through discussion questions and helpful practices together.
“Keep watch, dear Lord, with those who work, or watch, or weep this night, and give your angels charge over those who sleep. Tend the sick, Lord Christ; give rest to the weary, bless the dying, soothe the suffering, pity the afflicted, shield the joyous; and all for your love's sake. Amen.”
40 Day Journeys - led by Ann Johnson
Mondays from 6:30-8pm
At the Wellspring building - room TBD
For whom: Anyone
Description: Since Lent is comprised of 40 days, we will study through 40 day events in the Bible to let Scripture and the Spirit direct our hearts to what God may want to do in, through, and around us during this season of Lent.
The Spiritual Journey: Accompanied by Grace - led by Brandon Corsi
Tuesdays from 6:30-8:30pm
At Brandon’s House (you’ll get an email with the address when you sign up)
Capacity - up to 12 people in addition to Brandon
For whom: Young Professionals (ages 25-35)
Description: In this formation lab, we will be exploring elements of the Spiritual Journey, and how the circumstances of life may have us finding ourselves on unexpected paths. Ultimately, we will seek to more deeply understand how a journey with God lends itself to the discovery of His abundant, ever-present grace, even in unlikely places.
“I care not where my body may take me as long as my soul is embarked on a meaningful journey.” - Dante Alighieri
