Vespers - 1920x1080.jpg

I am so excited to tell you about our newest Emerging Adults-led service: Vespers.

“Vespers” officially means a service of evening prayer in the Divine Office, which is exactly what this will be: an evening of prayer and worship. If you have ever attended one of our Wellspring worship nights, then you will have a pretty good idea as to what a Vespers service will look like. The Emerging Adults team felt that there was a need to create spaces of prayer, worship, and connecting with the Lord in our regular rhythms of life. What better way to do that than with and through the body of Christ?

Through intentional prayer and long seasons of discernment, the Spirit has revealed three pillars which will uphold the entirety of our Vespers services: Light, Table, and Refuge. At each Vespers service, we will engage in a specific vision for our time together that is informed by these three pillars. This first gathering will be focused on “Returning to the Father.” Throughout the evening, each person will have the opportunity to worship through music, written prayer, written liturgy, journaling, making art, meditating, praying with someone else or simply praying alone. We will begin with creating space for individually led worship and end our time singing and praying together as one unified body of believers. Although it is led by Emerging Adults, anyone and everyone is welcome to join us, believer and unbeliever alike.

We hope that you will consider worshipping with us for our first service on February 8th, from 7:00pm-8:30pm in the sanctuary. You can register through this link. We cannot to wait to worship the King with you all.
