Poverty Alleviation
The Bible tells us a story of God leading his beloved creation into the flourishing it was designed for. This flourishing is holistic, meaning both the physical and the spiritual are redeemed by the work of Jesus. We are a church that embraces the reality that God is restoring all things! In light of this, we are committed to caring for our friends, neighbors, and family members that are experiencing various degrees of poverty by providing effective and holistic support that is grounded in relationships and moving towards flourishing that reflects the Kingdom of God.
Our Community
The Bible tells the story of a God who is leading his beloved creation toward the flourishing it was made for. Through Jesus, he is restoring all things, bringing renewal that is both physical and spiritual. As a church, we believe this restoration is already breaking into the world and will one day be made complete.
Because of that, we are committed to walking alongside friends, neighbors, and family members experiencing poverty. We seek to meet immediate needs while building relationships that foster long-term flourishing. We care about relief, but we also care about restoration: the kind of restoration that reflects Wellspring’s vision of living “Here as it is in Heaven.”
Our Approach
Relief
Many of our neighbors are facing immediate challenges and need support today: food, healthcare, community, and a place to breathe. Through The Well, we provide a consistent space where people can access practical resources while also being known by name. We seek to meet real needs in ways that honor dignity, build trust, and create opportunities for meaningful relationships to grow.
Development
We believe the renewal of a city is not the work of any one church. Wellspring partners with local officials, nonprofits, businesses, and other churches to pursue the flourishing of Englewood together. Rather than building an isolated effort of our own, we seek to join the good work God is already doing throughout our city. This is one way we live out our calling to see every corner of life increasingly reflect the reality of God’s Kingdom: “Here as it is in Heaven.”
Community Engagement
We believe the renewal of a city is bigger than any one church, ministry, or organization. That’s why Wellspring partners with local officials, nonprofits, businesses, schools, and other churches to seek the good of Englewood together. We are not trying to build an isolated effort of our own; we want to join the good work God is already doing throughout our city. This collaborative approach reflects our conviction that the Kingdom of God touches every part of life and our desire to see more of heaven’s flourishing take root here on earth.
Serve with Mission
If this work resonates with you, there is a place for you in it. You do not need to be an expert or have all the answers. You simply need a willingness to show up with consistency, humility, and care. Whether you are serving meals, building relationships, offering prayer, or supporting the work behind the scenes, you are joining in God’s work of restoration and helping create a community where people can experience his love in tangible ways.
